Short Bio

Dr. Graciela Rovner (PhD in Medicine, MSc in Psychology, MSc in Medical Sciences, MSc in Physiotherapy) is an ACBS Fellow, the first South American ACT trainer, and an international leader in contextual and functional behavioral medicine. With more than 38 years of academic and clinical experience in Sweden, she served as Head of Clinic at Karolinska University Hospital and as a lecturer, clinic manager, and researcher at Karolinska Institutet, where she developed innovative, process‑based interventions for chronic and complex health conditions.

Her work integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and contextual behavioral science in interdisciplinary rehabilitation medicine. She is the former president of the ACT/ACBS Association in Sweden and currently serves as director of the ACT Institutet Sweden, providing advanced training for mental health professionals across Europe and Latin America.
